TESCH Riesling

300 YEARS

The TESCH winery in Langenlonsheim on the Nahe looks back on 300 years of winegrowing tradition.

Eleven generations of winegrowers have led the winery through changeable times. The development of the winery has always been closely linked to the course of German and European history. There have been long phases of economic prosperity and inter-national recognition, as well as times of hardship and war.

Several common threads run through the past and present of the winery:

The appetite for INNOVATION. Very early on, great importance is given to excellent education. The wine-growers learn their craft from the leading experts of their time. They break new ground – even against great resistance.

The focus on SUSTAINABILITY. Each generation is concerned to leave a future-proof business to their children and grandchildren. This increasingly inclu-des facing up to social challenges.

Strong WOMEN have played a major role in the development and survival of the winery in each of the three centuries. They are the backbone of the family and the estate.

All generations practice viticulture with DEVOTION. Their passion for viticulture, their commitment, and above all their focus on the needs of the customers allow the company to thrive.

Today the 12th winegrowing generation is waiting in the wings. We are united by the CONFIDENCE that in the fourth century of its existence the history of the TESCH winery will continue to be a successful one.
